About us

With the start of the Balanagar Orphanage, there arose the necessity to have a School where the inmates of the orphanage can be given proper schooling and character formation. The Sacred Heart Orphanage High School was started in 1932.

Initially it was started as a Primary School, and later in 1948 it was upgraded to an Upper Primary School, and promoted as a full-fledged High School in 1966. Besides the inmates of the orphanage, thousands of children in and around Mookkannur have benefited immensely from this prestigious school.

Our mission is to serve the people by empowering them with education, knowledge, skills and opportunities to help themselves to succeed in life. We aim at providing employment to as many people as we can thus to enhance their standard of living.
